Yuki is the best guide in all of Yakushima!

He guided me on a day trip to the summit of Miyanoura. He knows the mountain very well, and would be a great hiking guide for hikers of any experience.

I enjoyed our full day hike so much that I decided to book a 2nd day with Yuki the next day!

The weather was not good for hiking, so he customized a full day of non-hiking activities that were curated to my interests.

The highlight was eating a delicious dinner at his house (prepared by his wife) of fresh food we had gathered from around the island.

Yuki-San would be a great guide for any type of client- young, old, Japanese, or foreigner.

He does a great job of reading and communicating with the client to make sure your experience is unique and customized to your liking.

I have traveled all over the world taking countless guided trips, and there are very few guides with whom I can recall a feeling of such sadness when it came time to say goodbye.

This is because Yuki-San treats you more as a friend/family than a client, something that only the very best guides are capable of.
