I cannot recommend Yuki enough for anyone looking to experience the ancient wonders of Yakushima.

From the moment we set off, his professionalism and deep expertise were evident, ensuring that I felt prepared and motivated throughout the entire trek to Jomon Sugi.

What truly set this experience apart, however, was his warm and friendly personality.

While the hike is long and physically demanding, the time absolutely flew by because we spent so much of it engaged in wonderful conversation.

He is a wealth of knowledge regarding the intricate history and uniqueness of the island.

And beyond that, we chatted about everything from local life to personal stories, making the day feel less like a formal tour and more like a hike with a knowledgeable friend.

His ability to balance being an expert guide with being a great conversationalist made the "boring" stretches of the trail disappear.

I had a truly fun time.
